gift from King of Afghanistan to the Russianpresident - Nikita Hrushev, and their origin is not known
The first Afghan Hounds in USSR appeared in 1964. Their names were BARG and AKHU (a bitch and a dog) - from the same litter. There were given as a gift from the Afghanistan government to the head of our state Nikita Khrushchyov for hunting.
