  • Profile: Back in 1979, as a 15 years old teenager, my mother bought me my first afghan, supposed to be a show dog as I wanted to start exhibiting.

Unfortunately, Plessy did not turned out to be the show quality expected and I managed to get another bitch, Raquel, from Huilaco's kennel in Spain.

Raquel ended up being my first champion and II finished her when I was just over 18 years old.

This was the beginning of a life dedicated to dogs....26 years already ! Ever since, I have always had show afghans, mostly bred by my friend Dominique Danel, Tchekana Kennel France and lucky have owned or show some of the best specimen of the breed at that time.

Around 1996, I decided it was time for me to start my own breeding program and new adventure started then. In less than 10 years, Khafka's home bred afghans have won some of the biggest awards around the world. Our show records are tremendous

In 1995. I also moved to Spain where I started working as a professional handler, being successful in lots of breeds, winning lots of groups and also BIS for our clients. Our noticeable win was BIS at the French championship Show last year, with Ch.TUTTLEBEE'S INNOVATION AT CILLEINE, a Brussel Griffon I had bought 3 months ago in England for one of my clients. !!!

We at Khafka started a breeding progam in American cockers importing our first parti bitch from Argentina in 1999. She ended up being probably the most winning cocker bitch... 18 championship titles, 2 times world champion, European Champion, Multi National Specialty BOB winner, and 15 BIS, dog of the year in Spain etc... Ines is also the mother of ours first champion bred American cockers, one being the current number one in France.

In parallel to our handling business, we started importing Laser Lites for Europe some 3.5 years ago and the success of this new adventure was so much work we decided to just dedicate our business to Laser Lites.

I personally retired from handling in December 2004 and passed my judging exam for Afghans, Whippets, Greyhounds, and Salukis in January. Soon to get licensed by the end of the year. Felix , my partner since 1997 and and which whom all of this would not have been possible, is still active as a handler and show mostly toy breeds.

I had the honor to judge sweepstakes 2 times in the USA, and also an Open Show this year in England. As well as numerous open show in Spain.
